starting selling on ebay?

Hi everyone

I have sold a few items on ebay, not a great deal. But I am addicted!! lol!! I really want to start using it and earning a bit of money out of it. I was wondering (I know the chance is slim) if anyone could tell me a good list of wholesalers? Or how do I tell the real wholesalers from the fakes? Any advice on getting started would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks!
Emma

No one is going to give you the name of their supplier.
If you are making a business out of it you will need to be registered as a business seller on ebay.

Start small, with something you know and visit the wholesalers in this country.

Not sure what you mean by fake in this case. There are numerous wholesalers where you can go in, buy goods and take them away.
If you are getting involved with importing or mail order purchases you are likely to run into problems, especially if you don't know what you are doing.
It is down to common sense. Stick with what you know for buying and selling, if you move into areas you have no knowledge of you can end up losing money very quickly.
Also research any items you want to sell on Ebay and see if you can compete.

Ebay has a whole category of 'wholesale and job lots', you could start off by looking in there, don't be disheartened by the odd mistake, look for things you know something about, research prices.

I have never found a wholesaler 'online' that made me any money. All my business stock is sourced either off line or in smaller amounts through very specialist sites.

you'll find 1000's of others doing the same on ebay, you need to find stuff you know about spend time researching otherwise you can easily be left with unsaleable stock or giving stuff away! I hate buying large amounts of the same item wholesale unless it's mixed etc as i don't like to have all my eggs in one basket.
Be carefull with clothing (if you go down that route) as you'll get customer returns for not fitting etc although you get that with any item it's more likely in clothing.
It's not as easy as private as you need to adhere to the DSRegs and register with hmrc. :)

Have a clear out at home and stick anything you're not using onto ebay - my general rule of thumb is that if it hasnt been used for 6 months then sell it on ebay.

    Last time i made £500.
