Ear Phones with 2 Jack plug pins at the other end? What do they fit?

Options
While routing through some stuff earlier I came across two pairs of those tiny in-ear earphones. However, these 2 pairs were different from any others I've got because these have 2 Jack Plugs side by side instead of a single Jack Plug. All my other pairs have a single tiny Jack Plug that I plug into the earphone socket of my Lappy/MP3 player. I have no device that requires an earphone plug like this. The 2 Pertruding pins from this plug are similar to a normal ear phone Jack. At the top of the Pins there is a single Black band, which I'm guessing is Stereo or not??? I can only assume we picked these up on a plane sometime, and indeed if we did are they still in use to date, because we are going to Ibiza in 4 weeks. Any help????

Sometimes this arrangement is used on higher end 2-way radios, although I would have thought they should have a mic built into them somewhere.

You are probably right about the plane thing, although I'm not a frequent flier so can't really comment.

Haha, yes, I was thinking the "property of XYZ airlines" stamped on the top might give them away!
