wrong gender on credit card

in Credit cards
Hello,
Firstly, i apologise for being new and asking a question straight away but a friend pointed me to here to ask for some advice so I hope that is ok, it seems a friendly place here
I have a new credit card with my bank that I have held a current account with for about 10 years. The credit card came through with my name correct, but stating 'Ms' instead of 'Mr'.
It has caused embarrassment untold times :rotfl:
I went to my branch to sort it with them, but they needed ID that I didnt have on me. Apparently a physical check wasnt possible
So, I called the bank again and they said they wont help at all.
I didnt receive any statement so I phoned them up on 19/7 and paid some off the balance. Today I receive a statement showing I missed a payment due on 9/7 and next payment due same time next month.
Now my bank statement came through with Ms on it instead of Mr aswell :T
I dont even know what to do, if I missed a payment is that just bad luck and have to live with ot on my credit record, or can I do something about it now?
I am applying for a student account so need a clear credit rating if possible, its not showing anything yet on my credit score but only the first month has been registered so far at zero balance.
I know I can sort the bank out (meaning prove my correct gender to them) by taking ID, but surely a complaint in the correct manner/in th right ear should get me somewhere about not registering a -1 month on my credit file!
I would appreciate some advice in these uncertain times for me
Thanks,
James

well if the bank want ID to change you back to a mr then I would take some in..... You see in there eyes they have credit checked some one completly diffrent. But never mind its an easy fix and one I would get done ASAP.
As for the missed payment some banks wont slap it on your credit file if paid within 14 days, not much use now but I good one to know if the problem ever comes up again.
Not much you can do with this now, you could beg but I dont think 1 late payment will make a huge impact on your file0
