My FIL is always getting letters from this company. Tell him to avoid them at all costs. At least he has you to help him avoid these pitfalls.

Two letters from yet another scammer were received by my Dad on Friday. They're called ICFP which denotes the International Committee for Financial Payments" and are based in the Netherlands.

I checked and found they don't have a website and have now got my brain back in gear.
I do hope that does not mean that, if you'd checked and found they DID have a website, you'd have believed it (many of these scammers create bogus websites too and even have telephone numbers which work).
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
