Charity of the Year - advice when to contact

Options
I was just wondering when do companies pick their charity of the year. Want to contact them near this time, so we are fresh in their minds.
Many thanks

There is no one time of the year. Why not ask the companies you're interested in?

Many companies get employees to suggest charities and then the employees vote to select those to benefit.

And some of them 'pick' charities all through the year: the charities DH and I work for have just been 2 of the 3 local charities in nearby branches of Waitrose, which share £500 or £1000 every month according to the size of the store. Customers 'vote' for one of the 3 charities by dropping tokens into clear plastic 'moneyboxes', which is great because I could see that our charity was just beating DH's charity but we were both 'ahead' of the 3rd charity!
