Hi can anyone help me with this issue please. I use a soft telephone Bria at work in Microsoft Outlook but I can't get the telephone to work properly at home with the same laptop. So I am thinking it must be my broadband or router.
I am with O2 and the router is
Thompson Speedtouch 585.
The problem is the incoming calls. They go straight to voice mail and do not give me any indication the call is arriving or the opportunity to answer the call. Out going calls work fine.
The server is checked and all that is OK and it works perfectly in the office.
Any idea what I can do to get this working at home please?
Thank you for your help.

Have you followed the troubleshooting FAQ on counterpath's website?

In theory, your softphone should be able to use Plug and Play to reconfigure the router to handle SIP calls which are inbound to your PC, but the router may not support that. If not, you may need to manually map the appropriate ports at the router so that they are routed to your PC. And if you are running a firewall on that PC then you may need to open the ports on that.
To find out which ports, use the Bria support or google for "SIP port forwarding". It also tells you here:
