Just remember that they need you more than you need them. You are the one with the money and call the shots, you can walk away at any time. once you start thinking that way they cannot rip you off.

Yep - it doesn't help when you've invested at least 5 hours of waiting for the paperwork. They get you when you are fatigued. That's their sales tactic. At that point I really wanted to get it over and done with.

It's awful but that's what happens when you are begin getting weary. I had two children and a fed up hubby.

That's simply a tactic now I see it. It's easier seeing it fully refreshed and alert.

It's like someone stealing from you when you are most vulnerable. They would avoid you under any other circumstance.

Thanks for all the interest shown on here guys, I have to say though, at this point, Linzi and Sheila from Carcraft Head Office have to date been 'helpful'. Of course I shall keep you all updated on the final decision made. However, I was only able to make contact with ANY MANGER through this website, which is pretty bad, as phoning their head office proved fruitless, as did writing into a manager, only getting a response from a 'rude and abrubt' customer service 'assistant'. I have asked Linzi to please apply this as a 'learning curve' as I am one of many who desperately 'need help'. I suggest for those struggling with any help or advice they need, to contact CONSUMER DIRECT they have been EXTREMELY USEFUL and I can not urge you all enough to CONTACT THEM!!!!!!!!!!! One final word.....as you can see ILW you have to focus on the tactics that are being used, you keep asking for ppl to 'explain' just read what is being written. We come from all walks of life, have various levels of intelligence, sadly, that does not excuse us from getting 'taken in' over a duration and exhausting 7 - 8 hours in the showroom!!!!!

Hi I bought a car from carcraft and was not even told i had the NAC guarantee, its not on your paperwork you get from them. ALso reply to comments made about people signing before reading. I did read them, I got answers to the questions that i needed and when I got home and rang the financial company to confirm things, its clear the advise giving in the store and from the credit agreement are completely different. I am now trying to get out of the agreement and pay it off before I even make a first payment but it appears its not as easy as the advisor told me. The sales reps are not that well informed or the financial advisors but i have spoken to another member of carcraft who was very helpful and looking into why my loan has increased by £3000 in 24 hours!

just wanted to update - i have spoken to somebody else in the compliance department. On the 3rd September I returned an acceptance form to Carcraft head office, their offer was to cancel the NAC Guarantee and to arrange with the finance company to reimburse the payments made to date. However, as of today, 17th September, in spite of also emailing the contact i have at the compliance dept on 16th Sept, i have yet to receive a response regarding the offer made to me and the accepance letter/form i have sent in (via recorded delivery) ????? So Monday 20th here I go again with yet more telephone calls to be made. I shall keep you posted!!!!!!!!! I just want an end to this once and for all!!!!!!

Has there been any developments here. With all the ppi misspelling claims they should start looking at the misspelling of the nac guarantee claim which isn't worth anything!

Lol! Just noticed! I did it twice!
  • Hi all i have just got off the phone with them as i got a car from them in june 2009 and was looking through my paperwork the other day and realised on my pre contract agreement (this is the only paperwork they gave to me no actual contracts) i had been sold 'cash price of other insurances listed below £1295' obviously i wondered what the hell i was paying this money for as nowhere in my agreement does it tell me and i have no certificate for any insurances with them. I have just got off the phone to them after having the phone put down on me four times due to their lack of care for their customers! and was told it was their NAC Guarantee i asked what it was and could i have some paperwork so i knew what it covered me for as i didnt get none of this when i got my car, i know because its all filed away in my folder, and they said they probably can't supply me with it because they dont deal with them no more a and they will ask head office if they have any so i might get a copy but then again i might not i think this is absolutely ridiculous how they didnt give this to me in the first place and now im querying it they still may not be able to provide me with the information i need.
