Had an email from these people offering bargain 'B' grade halogen bulbs. Have used them before and service was good. There is also a 5% discount code available. Postage is £1.99.

Worth a go at 20p each. Have just ordered 50.
Blurb says,
'We have recently had a delivery of these bulbs which failed our quality control as some very failing prematurely. Naturally we could not offer these for sale at our standard price but as they do work we are clearing them at well below cost price.
There is a real bargain to be had as no doubt many of the bulbs will be absolutely perfect but clearly we are not offering any warranty on these bulbs.
You can find out more or order on line at http://www.yourwelcome.co.uk/acatalog/GU10.html - they are at the bottom of the page.'

Someone is selling you an electrical item which fails their quality control, which gets VERY hot, and you are going to put these in your house?!!
I suggest that you get the name of their public liability insurer when you buy these, just to be on the safe side

Where does it say they are getting very hot ?0

This inspired me to look around as my GU10s never seem to last long, but I have found a decent price for standard grade (well, it doesn't say they're B grade anyway) bulbs. Also found low energy ones which is a break through for me as they are always left on for ages in the kitchen.
Best price so far (not yet exhausted all possibilities!):

low energy: GU10 9W Energy Saver pack of 3 £16.99 from light-store.co.uk0 -
I tried the low energy ones recently but the light output is less than half that of halogen so are suitable for background lighting only, (unless they have improved them that is.)jeglet wrote:This inspired me to look around as my GU10s never seem to last long, but I have found a decent price for standard grade (well, it doesn't say they're B grade anyway) bulbs.
