I had a nightmare with Santander credit cards, seems to be resolved now. I never asked for compensation, never entered my head to be honest, I was more concerned about getting the markers taken off my credit file.

I got a huge bouquet of flowers from them.

Being a bloke, I'd be a bit pi55ed off if they sent me a bouquet of flowers!
  • What the hell is OP doing going from a decent bank to Santander?
Compensation - he needs to have his head looked at!

Try getting a cheque book from Santander, I was without one for 2 months. So decided that if customer servive was so appalling I would move my accounts.

£10, with support of phone bills, seems reasonable to me as 'compensation'.

At worst they said sometimes you have to go into the branch.

Well, there's certainly no way you'll get £7500.
I was wondering about this myself as I spent, so far, 16 hours on letters, phone calls, visits to branches. I was thinking in terms of say £10/hour which wd be £160, plus actual costs of phone calls, recorded delivery letters, travel expenses.
