Excited

I am so excited. Sunday tomorrow! Bootsale day! :D I now have four large sales in my area... where will I end up! Autumn is nearly upon us (dark at 8pm!) and soon the carboot season will be over, so I love it that tomorrow the weather is good, and nothing will be cancelled. What I should be doing is selling, but hey ho, there's xmas presents to get!
Am I crazy?
Wishing you all, doing what I am doing, lots of fun and bargains in the morning.

On an MSE note, I have become very paranoid that those books I see at the carboots (that LOOK rare, or self-help, or educational, or business books, that are worth loads on Amazon) are just Amazon rejects worth 1p, that people have failed to sell themselves. I haven't bought one for months! I have stopped buying the lucrative Lego too, people ask too much for it nowadays. And clothes, am unable to sell these on.

I am rambling now, this thread is probably going to get deleted or moved, but just wanted to share my thoughts with like-minded people...:o

Maybe, but your car booting sounds quite sensible! I get all excited with anticipation too. Unfortunately there aren't any boot sales near me tomorrow that I'm aware of. I toyed with the idea of getting up early and going to a popular boot sale venue just in case there's one on, but then I told myself not to be stupid.
I find most clothes at boot sales are too modern to sell well if they're not posh makes, and if they are posh brands, the prices are often more than they'd make on eBay. I keep an eye out for things like old Adidas trainers for profit.
  • I'm off booting in a few minutes too - and yes, I get excited as well.

It's the not knowing what's going to be there that does it for me, if you go to town shopping you have a pretty good idea of what you'll see and which shops sell what but boot sales are so random that you could come home with anything...

I take a shopping trolley (it's got big chunky wheels, it's my all-terrain vehicle) - how's that for professional booting :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
  • Back to work as normal for me, no time for booting unfortunately.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Okay, one down. That was the most expensive carboot I've ever witnessed! Any clothes I liked (not designer or anything) were £4-5, books 2-4... Came back with almost nothing - the only bargain was that Island book out of Richard and Judy's summer reads for 50p - I meant to buy one in the shops, so this was a nice surprise.
Off to another carboot now (the middle one was not on - must check dates), wish me luck - I'm taking the dog with me this time - there goes the remnant of my sanity!

Right, last weekend I was walking round for 5 hours!!! In two carboots - crazy?? I think so. :p The last three with a boisterous dog attached to me. But I did get an Xmas present... for a cat! I've never met!
And I am now a proud owner of a bag that has wheels on it for lugging goodies around... I need help!

But alas tomorrow is yet another Sunday and I am again excited. :D
