Then could you explain how my friend did two years (fully funded) of a four year course, and graduated last week on another three year degree in which she received full funding?

    Perhaps she lied?:p

Sounds to me as if they were topping up from an HND, not going onto it with previous study.

Sorry, you're the one in the wrong here and Lokolo is right. It's length of the new course, not the old one.

    Jolly good :D

apologies in advance, I can see it has been explained but am still a little confused. I will be doing a 2 year HND course and on completion will enter level 2 (year 2) of a 3 year degree course, taking my total study time to 4 years. How does this work, will it only be a years tuition fees I pay for or would i not be eligible for maintenance loans etc for the final year.

    Thanks.

As long as you are changing circumstances then I believe it's fine. So you are changing from a 2 year to a 4 year, but in continuation, not staring again. So a topup, which I think is fine and will be funded.

This is quite common. You will be allowed funding for 3 years + one so your course will be fully funded,
