New Bank Account error maybe in my favour - What should I do?

I recently opened in-branch a new bank account with one of the top 4 banks. My credit status is not very good and so I was really happy that I got accepted and have since had all my account details through the post.. However today I was paying a bill online with my new debit card and was forced to verify by visa the card. It couldn't verify my card and account details so I called up the bank. Turns out that Staff member who setup my account put the wrong date of birth by 1 digit!
I can't believe this has happened. I provided my passport and told him my date of birth at the beginning of the application. So now i'm worried that I got the account because the credit check didn't locate the correct file.
The lady on the phone told me to enter the incorrect date of birth to verify the card (which worked) but that I need to go in to Branch to get them to change my D.O.B. on their computer. Will it be that simple?
I'm really worried that if I do that they may have to create a new application and I might lose the bank account.
What does everyone recommend I should do?

You'll be fine , This has happened to me before , and don't worry they will have searched the correct file. They will just change it in the branch upon seeing your ID.0
