I've seen the Nouvelle toilet rolls with tokens in Tesco opposite Liverpool Street station in London but thought I'd be smarter and sent my OH to Morrisons for the BOGOFs - he came back with six packs but none of them have the tokens on them!!!

Sent off for mine today - couldn't find the Tesco mag but just bought 3 x packs. It looks rather nice - will let you know when it arrives.

Finally managed to track the toilet rolls with tokens to Tesco in Southend - sadly not on BOGOF. Do you think I could return two packs of the toilet rolls I bought at Morrisons on BOGOF without the tokens to Tesco where I bought the toilet rolls with the tokens and get a refund - nah, that's taking things too far.

Good news is I have my two tokens and my application for the recycling bag is now in the post.......

  • I don't really understand what is the point of this bag?
We have plastic boxes supplied by the council for newspapers, bottles and cans, and a green wheelie bin for cardboard and garden waste.
Why would we need something else which has it's own environmental footprint to add into the chain?
If you need a bag to put recycling in can't you use a bag you already have, rather than buying another? Haven't you got some old carrier bags you could re-use?

I understand your point about it having its own environmental footprint - very good point. I didn't think of that before sending off for it! tsk tsk!

Some people don't have carrier bags or old cardboard boxes tho' - we have no carrier bags in our house (can be most annoying at times). I personally have a small flat and am always tripping over bottles and cans and the dogs are always sniffing around them so this would just tuck next to the bin and keep things in one spot and out of the hounds reach.

Well you see you're lucky - we have to take all our recycling ourself to the recycling place, so this might be useful for us...
