Domain Name Selling

Hi all - I have had a few good domains registered for the past year, but need some advice on selling them.
They are currently parked with Sedo, but hardly make enough commision to cover the registration costs, Google not liking to index them doesn't help much!
I have tried eBay, and sold one for £100 with only 1 bid, but not much luck since. I feel someone setting up a company and finding a good domain name wouldn't really be looking on eBay.
How can I target specific companies that I think would benefit from them without being classed as spam?
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

I have the same problem and although Sedo have recently changed their ad provider, resulting in slightly higher incomes, I am certainly not covering my annual renewal costs. I'm hoping to persuade Sedo, at their Maastricht seminar at the end of this month, that they should themselves offer a low-cost domain registry (say, $6.49 - $7), allowing us to put our earnings directly towards our renewal and new registration costs.
If anyone knows a better parking company, I'd love to hear about it. Actually, my main problem is that I haven't had the time to keyword optimize my domains.
JadeandAndrew, please PM a list of your domains, I might be interested in some of them. You should also consider listing them on some of the many domain forums although it's worth bearing in mind that most domain professionals don't pay "retail" price for domains - the only way to really profit from a domain is to find an end-user who simply must have that name; otherwise, you're simply dealing with speculators who are taking a gamble on possible future demand for your domain and, frankly, they know that most of the domains registered in the last few years are worthless, all the good ones were snapped up years ago.0 -
Hi, thanks for the reply, glad to know I'm not the only one having problems!
The other problem with registering domains that companies must have, is copyrite laws, the domain might be available, but if they have the copyrite, you could have a law suit on your hands. You can't even register young actor/actresses names for future use anymore.
The domains I registered and trying to sell are:
crystal-arts.co.uk
theendisnigh.co.uk
and some expired domains listed on some search engines:
lindsayscrafts.co.uk
simplygeniusdesigns.com

They're not copyrighted, but they may be trademarked. There's a big difference."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

I have some parked with domainmonster.com. I had a couple registerd for my own use - no intention of selling, but a guy called me (got details from whois as domain was registerd in my company name) and said was I interested in selling, I had only had it a week, I paid about £8 for it and sold it for £120, could do with a few more deals like that ;o)0

Is there a site for checking existing trademarks? Is it legal to contact companies who may be interested in a particular domain? There is a "Crystal Arts" shop within Disneyland Park (I didn't know at the time of registering the domain), does this mean it's already a registered trademark?
