Cycle Superhighways

I've seen on of these Superhighways sprouting between Balham and the City but cannot find much information about them. As a car user I would like to know whether there any new rules relating to them for drivers. I have tried TfL website but it is not very informative. Reducing the traffic lanes from two to one going south through Clapham has certainly created a new traffic bottleneck.

They should be treated as cycle or bus lanes.....
Im all for protecting cyclists, but people still think they can park in them.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

There are some good short cuts around that area that can cut out the traffic.
If your driving down Balham High Road and past Clapham South Station to get into central London you are sitting in traffic for no reason.
What part of London are you heading for and I'll give you some short cuts to avoid the traffic there0
