No nappy pants, dry bed!

:T
So pleased, I just had to share this.

My 4 and a half year old daughter went to bed in nappy pants last night. By the time we went to bed, she was fast asleep, but had changed into pants (leaving the slightly damp nappy pants on the bathroom floor!)

After a short debate OH and I decided to leave her and see what happened - fully expecting to be woken up to change sheets, etc. This morning, one proud little girl with dry pants!

This is a HUGE advance - until a couple of weeks ago, she didn't even seem to understand the concept of staying dry overnight, and seemed to take putting on nappy pants as a signal to wee in them immediately - obviously the penny's dropped:T

Just had to say well done on this!

My daughter is the same age and its been about a month since we started trying to get her dry through the night. Its been a bit hit and miss and she managed to go 4 nights dry in a row until last night :(. She is such a deep sleeper though she doesnt even wake up until a little while after its happened!

Although last night she said she thought she was on the toilet bless her! She was probably dreaming she was!!

Well done on such a successful night!

  • well done :T

my daughter is almost 4 but we have had to go back to the potty as for some reason she has a fear of going on the 'big toilet' (she used to use it with no problems) and held her self all day and would only go once in the morning which isn't good :( she's dry through the night though :) but all kids are different. I have got 6 weeks to get her using the big toilet before she starts big school, that should be fun lol

Thanks for all the comments. All we've got to do now is keep it going! We made a fuss with stickers and things, so we'll see what happens tonight.

    Well done :j

I had a moment of joy yesterday when my three year old went to the toilet for a poo and wiped her own bum! I got very excited about it :D

She's still in a nappy at night, and I take it off as soon as she wakes, but it always has a small wee in it. I've been wondering if I should just leave it off one night and see what happens.
Here I go again on my own....
