Doom 3 on XP Pro 64bit

Every time I try to install Doom 3 on this OS, I get a message saying I must use W2000 or XP.

I've had a check around the net, and it appears there may be a modified MSI file I can use to get around this.

Does anyone know where I can download this file (or have another option to try so I can install this game)?

why not create a partition on your hard drive of win 2000 or win xp (32-bit) and just dual boot your machine. surprised you don't do that already, the 64-bit is a pain in the !!! for software support, it is so bad it is worse (for software support) than most flavours of linux.

I've been using this for quite a while now (5 or 6 months). I've not come accross many problems at all. Hardware, I've had no problems. Far cry needed one patch to run. Everything else has been fine. There is more 64bit support than people realise. It runs most 32bit programs straight away without any changes needed.

I don't feel the need to dual boot just to run one game. I know there is a fix for this.
