OMG! Most ridiculous neg!

BTW - They can revise the feedback from a neg to a neut so make it clear to them that you are expecting a positive!!0

Did the buyer in person collect from the seller in person? Was there no friendly banter like "actually I have another one for sale if you want it" or is that against eBay rules? .... Just trying to get my head round this

However you only get a certain amount of 'feedback revisions' - 5 per 1000 transactions springs to mind but I could be wrong. Best bet is to try and get CS to remove it without you having to use a 'revision request'. Only way CS will remove it will be if the buyer contacts them or leaves a follow up comment asking for it to be removed.
This is the first time in 4 years of using ebay I have ever needed to do a revision request so I'm not really bothered about using one up. Spoke to CS but said they couldn't do anything other than told me to fill in the defamation of character form. This if successful only removes the comment and not the neg so I think would actually look 10 times worse. At least potential buyers can see her ridiculous comment.0 -
It may also be worth reporting it to ebay as a breach of the feedback policy - http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/feedback-abuse-withdrawal.htmlThe comment, reply or follow-up references a completely separate transaction or unrelated experience.
Nothing is consistant or black and white with ebay policy enforcement, but it is worth a try.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

Have tried on live help but apparently they can't (won't) do anything about it. :mad:0 -

When i got my neg for refusing to combine postage I tried to get ebay to remove it under their own policy. It was obvious the neg referred to the wrong transation as I had only ever sold one thing to this bidder..so I couldn't have refused combined postage. However ebay basically told me that they weren't aware that there was any clause in their t and cs that stated neg would be removed.
Obviously i have made formal complaints about their customer services (I got two vouchers back). However my buyer removed the neg after i phoned her and explained she must have got me muddled with someone else. She agreed that she forgot which buyer it was who didn't have a combined postage policy!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
