Downloading hp wirless driver

Hello all i did have a quick swiz at the faq's but coudlnt find what im looking for I have been given a HP laptop and have re-installed xp on it i am now unable to get on line wirelessly..i press the wireless button on lap top and the little light should come on this does ot happen is this a download fix and if so what d i download..many thanks

Should be an easy fix. All you need to do is go to HP's website, click on "Support and Drivers", put in your model name/number and you will be offered a range of device drivers. Choose the ones for XP, download and install them and it should work fine.

Of course you will then need to configure it to work with your router, but that's easy enough with XP.

If you are running XP update to the latest service pack, what type of HP do you have is it a HP6000 by any chance?
