ebaying and holidays?

Hi All,

I have an interview in a few weeks on a Friday and as I've not been to that city for around 20+ years, am intending to stay there a couple of nights; but I was also thinking of putting some things on ebay to finish the evening I'd be returning, (10 day auction) and state in the auctions I would be away over certain dates and if they wanted questions answered before hand I would be available to answer them the whole first 7 days but not the last say 3 days (Fri to Sun).

Before anyone suggest doing a 7 days I'd be leaving early on the 8th day so wouldn't be able to post things out then. I'd probably be home in time before the auctions finished though on the 10th day but won't say definate due to traffic. I can check the emails any time when I arrive home - even at 1am the 11th day if I have to and would higly likely post sold items the auction next day (have posted all but 1 item out of 30 the next day in all previous auctions). There is no one else that I would be able to ask them to deal with questions and I wouldn't be able to check questions from where I'm at either.

Would people think that this is acceptable - stating on auction will not be able to answer questions on x, y, z dates please ask them before these dates to get answers? Or should I not bother putting things on ebay that week or two as I won't be able to put anything on the Wednesday or Thursday either before I go.

Am selling items on ebay to reduce the amount of things I'd have to move with so am trying to do as much as possible to sell at the moment. It's likely that I have to relocate for a good posting anywhere in UK and I might also start looking overseas for posts, so am busily trying to sell the unused items I have in the house before I get other work and move.

Thanks for any information / guidance.
