Hello!
I am a single mother to a 19 months old and currently a stay at home mum so I am receiving Income Support. I am starting an Open University course in October and I really need a laptop!
I am borrowing a pc at the moment, but wont be able to have it for much longer.
I obviously cant afford to go out and buy a laptop just like that so was wondering if anyone knows of any loans or schemes that I may be able to acquire a laptop or the money for one?
Any help greatly appreciated

If you are in England the OU offer a computer grant as well as a minor grant (up to £250 I think) to help with study costs.0

Post a message on the techie board stating that you want to use it for studies and your budget. They will be able to say what is the best deal out there.
