  • Are you thinking of buying a PC for your media or do you have an old one that you can use?

I've got an old PC (2 years is old in PC terms!) running Vista Home Premium with Media Center and i've recently connected it all up to my LCD tv and my home network, works great with the Media Center remote that i've recently bought too.

As above I would suggest hooking up a computer, most modern HD TVs have an RGB port, failing this method, you could burn the images to a disk and view them from a DVD player.

There are loads of media streaming boxes available now from about £20.

To give you some idea have a look at this http://www.wdtvlive.com/tutorials/view/7/WD_TV_Live_Setup

    Some further questions....

How much do you want to spend?

    Do you want HD?

Do you want a hard drive attached to the media box?

For £36 this is a steal but there are only three left....

Put your photos and videos on a USB drive attach it to the media player and bobs your uncle!

You would have to buy a hdmi cable to connect the media player to your tv but they are only a couple of quid.

1080P is full HD but I think you can only get that with a Blue Ray player/recorder. I do not think you would notice any difference between the one above and this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digital-1080P-Media-Player/dp/B002VAVR4A/ref=pd_sim_ce_4 for your videos and photos.

Perhaps someone else can confirm this.

Have a look at the Sumvision Cyclone Micro HD Movie Player got one from r4i.co.uk it does what I wanted but is pretty basic
search topcashback.co.uk and myVOUCHERCODES! for zoombits.co.uk should bring the price down and earn some cashback

you transfer your files to a usb flash drive or SD card and just plug it into the unit. The unit is palm sized so can be moved around easily.
