Should i use an IFA to buy PPI or trust 'the net'?

    Hi, i think you may have hijacked my thread here? :D
    Back to my thread-So im correct in thinking that i really really shouldn't even contemplate using the net for redundancy protection?
    Not yet a total moneysaving expert...but im trying!!

    Use the net but just be wary of short history internet companies that seem too good to be true.

    Buel ,there a few IFA's on here, why dont you ask them who provide redundancy protection, so that you know who to look out for in your DIY attempt.

    It is after all a money saving idea, and I would have thought this is why they frequent the site, to help others such as yourself. :rotfl:

    Sorry but i had posted my own thread, which was similar to yours yet no-one responded to it.
    I just needed an answer as the longer i leave it the more chance i have of getting in trouble.
    As it's along the same lines, i was hoping someone could answer.
    I'll bump my own thread again and maybe someone can help me this time.

    Hi, just out of interest, the ifa i used the other week had this after his name 'CertPFS Certs II (MP + ER), Could anyone please tell me what these mean? Thank you in advance!!

    It indicates the level of qualification they have.

    Cert PFS is the certificate in financial planning.
    Cert CII (MP & ER) cover the certicates in mortgage advice and equity release
