A ATi 9600 has 325Mhz core speed. Yours has 350Mhz core speed. Will play it no problems!

so what is MGHz then? :rotfl:
  • it's AMD athlon 3500+ (2.2ghz actually.......).man why is the game being so slow!!!! ARRRGGHHHHH

    p.s. and 1024ram
  • because its not just down to amount of ram on the video card or its speed the type of ram, no. of pipelines etc all make a difference - the reason why it doesn't play the game well is its a mobile graphics chip designed for low power consumption and not for gaming.

Go to this link (Futuremark), download and run the 3D Mark 05 benchmark on your laptop and post back with the score you get.

  • Got 701 on default settings...........
  • Typical scores for your cpu/graphics combo are in the range 400 - 750, so your system's gaming performance is to spec.

As you've found out, most laptops are no good as games machines.

Your 200M graphics card is roughly equivalent to a GeForce 5700 in a desktop machine.

The performance should be decent enough for mainstream apps and most older games though.
