Looks interesting, but why would I need a fridge that connects to the Internet?! What does it do?!0

I'm not sure the connecting to the internet part is really for your benefit, I think its to help the company monitor these fridges usage (obviously that kind of helps you too plus you get a free fridge if you are chosen)
I signed up originally when this was posted, not heard anything yet but reading the site it may be up til october before they start contacting people..Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!

Yes, I would certainly trust giving nPower control of the horizontal and the vertical. Dynamic demand - when nPower fancy an extra few tier 1 units they up the power. I am entirely sure they would never decide 'hmm, fridge is ticking over nicely on its own insulation, that is far too efficient, but it is not a high demand period and we're losing income - let's kick it back on.'

Its not just for Npower customers, I'm with Ovo and have still applied.
Although obviously it could just be Npower customers that are the "successful" ones...Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!

For the last couple of days, we've been testing our website and everything is working as it should be.
The great news is that the site will be up and running soon, ready for you to apply for one of our free energy efficient fridges! We will also extend the deadline until Monday 9th August so you'll have the opportunity to apply for one.
We've noticed some of you had a try at applying during the testing phase - don't worry - your applications have been accepted.
The page will be temporarily unavailable from 11am today, so watch out for the full official launch details next week via the weekly newsletter from moneysavingexpert.com
And once again, thanks for your patience.
Best wishes,

:kisses3: Incredible & possibly alarming but, for once, we seem to be in total agreement
