Well, I made an offer...

...and it's been accepted! Offered approximately 7% below. It is a great house though, and perfect for us.

Only problem now is the mortgage...nervously awaiting a response from L&C broker.

Just wanted to share my angst!

  • Shouldn't you have got mortgage checked first?! Anyhow, best of luck. Make sure you check all deals available direct too.

    I spoke to the broker before offering! He said we could 'probably' get the mortgage we need, but didn't want to run a credit check for an AIP. Reckoned they weren't worth having, and we'd be better off finding a house first. We are tight on income multiples and have a couple of slightly late credit card payments.
