It's a battery movement, not a wind-up mechanism. Would that make a difference? I'd be really pleased if I could get it fixed.
It *may* be possible. There will be codes on the back of it (likely to be 2 sets of 3/4 characters and a 6 digit serial numer which will also tell you the month and year it was made) - any chance you can post these and also whatever info is on the front ?0 -

i used to work at a multiple outlet high street jeweller / retailer who sent stuff there.
so now i go to them directly and cut out the middleman0
