radio locked please help!!!!

Hi, I hope someone can help me. My ford focus (07 plate's) radio is locked after my husband tried several numbers that were I the manual book all to be unsuccessful. I contacted ford yesterday to have a new code pulled and they have said that's its locked and will cost £150 to send it off to be sorted. Can anyone help, I thought the £15 was bad enough for a new code never mind £150 to get it unlocked.

I don't know how to get into it to find serial number either for radio any ideas on this?

Depends what stage of the security locked process you are in.

If you have put the code in 10 times in correct, you have 3 more attempts.

However, if you have put the code in wrong 13 times in a row without the radio unlocking, the radio is, sadly useless as the security feature locks the radio up for good.

If you have only put it in wrong a few times (less than 10) don't panic!

Remove the radio from the dash, you will need a special Ford tool you can buy for £5 from most places (eBay, local car spares)

Get the serial number on the side of the unit, post it on the Radio codes for free section of the forum and you will get the code from one of out fellow MSE free

Try pushing buttons 1 and 6 together , might give you the M ****** we would require.

Radio comes out , try cutting the wire coat hanger corners off. You then have two wire loops. Insert into dash holes , push in firmly.
Should go in a number of inchs.

You now have a radio with two wire loops .
Push wires away from each other , while pulling. Radio should come out.

Use to be a video on you tube, look for it.

On side of radio you are looking for a yellow sticker .. M followed by 6 numbers .
Post those , we post back a 4 digit code.

i think he has done it 10times not 100% sure but now rather than saying code when you turn it on or wait 39mins its says locked.

Will get the serial number today think my cousin has the tools to take radio out. Is there a way of trying to input code again rather than it saying locked. Will taking battery off work?
