Good program for making website

Hey Hey :D

I'm after a program that's simple to use which can make a good looking website.

I've tried dreamweaver with swish but found it too complicated and I couldn't get anything out of it. Swish was also equally difficult to understand :(

I wanted to get some flash into the site but this doesn't seem likely as I couldn't master Swish :o or is there a simpler program for that too?

Cheers :D

If you already have Dreamweaver then in my opinion, you have the best. I've used it for 6 years and once you master it, you'll realise why it's so good. A decent free one is NVU.

The good looking web site depends on your skills. Obviously some templates are available, some of which look ok, but if you require anything 'good' then you really need a decent design yourself.

Flash is another different skill to master, your best bet is to do a search for 'Flash tutorials' and pick it up from there. You can make entire sites purely in Flash and there's a lot to learn.

    check out this site

I dont know what stage of web design you are at however I would suggest you learn coding such as HTML and CSS dont worry its not too difficult u need a week and lots of coffee and you will be well on your way..

Dont get fooled and start using WYSIWYG editors because you will be starting off on the wrong foot.

Take a look at that site and then get stuck in..

Advantages of learning coding is then u know how to read it so if anything goes wrong u can easily resolve it..

    goodluck

xhtml would be the better option after you have mastered the basics of hmtl and css.
