Hi guys, i have today purchased a packet of seeds for a moss curled Endive, never seen it before and was wondering if any one had grown it and eaten it and therefore could tell me what it's like and what they have used it in,
It says it's a good winter harvesting salad type thing and i'm hoping to grow it with Kale and winter mix of salad leaves

It's ok in a mixture of leaves, but I find it quite bitter on its own. Flowers are very pretty (mine went over in the heat).TOP MONEYSAVING TIP
Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!0 -

We have an endive mash supper. We pinched it from some Dutch friends of ours.
Boil/steam a pan of chopped/shredded endive, boils and mash some potatoes. Chop up some smoked bacon and fry to your preference, and then add all the mash/endive and bacon together. Serve with smoked sausage. Yummy.0
