""she pointed out she can't show us details of houses that are completed"" -
of course she can, as Tassotti points out sale prices are publicly available now.
  • Thanks Tassotti and clutton. I have checked out sold prices near us - but it's hard to find properties that are the similar to ours, and if they're slightly different, then to work out to what degree that would affect the price. The closest we have to go on is next door, which is mid-terrace (ours is end terrace) with no parking or garage, which sold last September for £131k. Taking into consideration that prices will have risen in the last year, plus these other factors, I really don't know whether that means our place would be worth £10k more, or £20k or more than that.

I think what the EA meant was that she couldn't show us the printed details from the houses that have been completed as they are now someone else's property, and I'm pretty sure that under data protection act, you can't go round showing pictures/details of someone's house without their perrmission. Doesn't stop her telling us sold prices and exterior features (i.e. semi/detached/terraced, garage etc) as you can get this information as you point out.
