Well, it's been 2 months for me trying to integrate a kitten into my pensioners paradise and I can't say it is getting much better! She just wants to play...and they were never playful or even pally with each other even as kittens.0

Oh dear. Sometimes the best you can hope for is that they tolerate each other, which means that everyone can live together in relative peace. As long as they're not trying to kill each other, I wouldn't worry too much. Just make sure that the pensioners can get a bit of peace and quiet every now and then for a break.0 -
Thanks for the advice. I put a few drops of bachs herbal remedy in his water on advice from another cat owner, and I noticed when I came home he was watching them through the glass with his tail up, tip pointing forward, no hissing etc, and that quite alot of the water had gone :rotfl:chilled out kitty alert!
When they have had a face to face meeting I will try the feeding thing, at the moment though they are seriously greedy kitties, I imagine they would scoff theirs then try and scoff his too, that will annoy him as he is a grazer. I have noticed he has stopped eating his wet food the past couple of days. Will try a face to face meeting tonight so that he can have a good sniff of them, I am going to buy some treats to give to him afterwards so that he associates being near them as a positive experience. I've no intention of giving up, the poor kitties can't go back to that rescue home, they are inundated with kittens, and mostly black ones at that!I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

Well they just met face to face for the first time...the new kitties walked straight past Snuggles, then Snugs went into the kitchen and one of them followed, Snugs let him sniff him and lick his nose, then little kitty ran back into the safe zone and Snuggles went out..there was no hissing this time, and none of them seemed too bothered. Phew!!I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

Sounds as if they are getting there, anyway.
Spook was well put out when we got her a companion at a year old. She bullied her for months, years in fact, until she got big enough and bold enough to fight back. She hated all other cats with a passion and only tolerated Geri because she had no choice. She was a feisty one, bless her.0 -
That's sounding really good so far, Taadaa. Don't worry if they have the occasional setback from time to time, though - it's perfectly normal.
You may well find that Snuggles stops being a grazer and starts wolfing his food down once he starts eating with the kittens.0
