Mate I'd stick your experience in the Plymouth Herald! Let them tell all the Naval folk round 'ere....
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

They are quite... ermmmm... chunky... :(
"Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

deanr46, first off, welcome to MSE.

Secondly you shouldn't really hijack someone else's thread to post your issues. If you're wanting help I would suggest starting a new thread, summarise and perhaps (if you need to include the complaints) paragraph them a little better (spacing helps). Makes it easier for everyone else to read, and help.
Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.

Hardly hijacking. The OP is inviting others to share. Here's the OP's first sentence :

"I have been having problems with Lloyds for around 4 weeks now, I was just wondering if anyone had experienced anything similar."

jambosan's comment about hijacking were not addressed to the OP, but to deanr46 who enters this thread
with an extremely long post which has nothing to do with the OP or the thread so far.

Those who can read, have a distinct advantage.

I'm well aware that jambosan's comment was directed at dean46; what exactly did I say to make you think otherwise?

I was making the point that the OP, having started a thread about dealings with Lloyds, had invited others to contribute. And dean46 did just that.

Probably best to take your own advice.

The OP had asked for similar experiences concerning Lloyds. - Where is the similarity?

Any old experience with Lloyds will not do!
(I once slipped and sprained my ankle in a Lloyds branch.)

Start with the general theme of the frustrations of customers in following up with Lloyds after an issue has been raised with them. The title of this thread also offers a helpful clue.

...and banged your head, no doubt; which would, I guess, explain a few things...

@ ireboy & jambosans... I have the letter in front of me now, they may not use the word unfair, but they certainly are VERY apologetic!.. When I had the charges taken, I spoke to the only helpful person in their call centre, who told me that the collection of charges was put on my account on 24th of June 2010, a couple of days after my cheque was paid in through the deposit box, the lady (whose full name I took) told me that I would never have been made aware of the charges as they'd only just been put on the account, they wouldn't show up until my next statement. Just to confirm, I not only got the charges back, but I also now have a nice sum of compensation or "goodwill gesture" for arguements sake! And I have since found out that the charges refer back to end April 2010. I stated before that I have not had a statement and NO NOTICE of these charges! And since I have had my income paid into another account, I have only receieved a statement every 3 months. Last statement was sent mid April, next one was due a week ago! I accept responsibilty for the £11.00 OD, but not for the poor handling and lack of notice. Give me some credit, I am NOT a moron. And yes, you're right, I should have been charged £75.00, for the first month, as it refers back to April, I should have been charged another £75.00 on top, so £97.00, I dunno where the figure comes from!! Please don't imply that I am lieing or have my facts wrong! Why would I post my woes if I was incorrect or telling an untruth? Unlike many people, I do actually think before typing!!

For extra info... the only other time I have been overdrawn was after buying a LTSB home contents policy at my new build address. Unfortunately, instead of sending ALL the correspondance to me, they sent it to a neighbour. I only found this out after the postman misdelivered a letter in my name with their address on at my actual address. I contacted LTSB and tried to get it sorted, was given a complaint number. The next day, they took a payment for a returned DD relating to the policy. It took me 2 weeks to get my complaint heard and the money refunded and I was again pushed from one person to another, just like this time, with no one excepting responsibilty. In the end I wrote a complaint about the complaint, in the letter I got back it stated that Lloyds accepted all responsibility for the mess as the person who had opened my account had entered my address wrongly! Funny, as I opened it in person and used my utility bills for address confirmation, which all had the right address on. Would that help with making a "test case", as I was in no way to blame for that and they accepted full responsibility (in the end). As a Law Student, I'm more than keen to help in anyway I can. I still have all the docs relating to that incident and would be willing to submit them to any relevant legal expert for analysis.

As for thread hijacking... it's no biggy, but if the replies were of similar nature, it would be helpful for people who have problems similar to this in future and use the forum search tool.

    Many Thanks.

Your facts were wrong regarding the charges.

You were wrong regarding the bank saying their charges were unfair.

Its a letter of apology, so yes, it would be apologetic.

I simply corrected you on the 2 points.
