Anyone know what this is or if its fixable appeared on samsung tv a few days ago.

It looks as though your screen is on its way out.
The LCD has either been damaged by handling roughly, or electrical components are going faulty, in either case the screen would need to be replaced, it is probably cheaper to buy a new TV, than getting it repaired.
If it is under warranty then you should contact the shop where it was purchased.0 -
Its 18 months old and never been handled roughly . Oh well glad the prices of tvs are going down0
