How to activate Windows without Internet

I just chose the installation of windows XP option instead of repairing XP in desperation, and it seems to have worked for the time being.

It couldn't register with Microsoft during installation not being on the Internet at that stage, so I still have the 30 day activation symbol, it couldn't install Roxio, didn't like some programs which it advised me not to install, and I now have the old version of Internet Explorer again but at least I am in communication!

Whether I will have all the old problems on reboot, I'm not sure. Suppose I need to update everything now!

Panda Virus stopped for some reason as well.

Is it a branded machine?

Yes, I just typed the 25 digit code in which is written on the side, that wasn't the problem, I couldn't get to that stage by the repair route.

I assumed it would seize during full installation as well, but seems generally O at the moment.

Are there any precautions to take before attempting to reboot?

The Panda Antivirus keep switching off, which is a bit of a worry.
