*yawn* Evening all. I've been asleep all day recovering from the weekend. It was odd, crap because of 'friend' but great for other reasons - especially meeting up with DFW's! I'm just sorry that I couldn't stay longer, but with things between sister and 'friend' I didn't really want to leave her alone.

Elfen - I'll have some of whatever you're on too!

My god it's hot. Just walking from the kitchen to the living room leaves me drenched in blugh. I do hope we have a storm to break this.

Haven't really achieved anything of note today.

    Pftt!

Can someone take it from me, not all of it, but enough so I sleep tonight?

Claire, yes the gig was great.

Then yesterday we went down to London and sister looked at some flats, one was great but she doesn't want to rush into a decision. She drove for most of the weekend, including right through central London yesterday, she only passed on July 1st!

I want to sleep tonight - I want to go to bed, lie down, close my eyes and wake up when the alarm goes off.

Not too much to ask is it?

And slow cookers - I love mine and use it lots all year round. I've always stuck with a morphy richards one as their after sales service is fab.

I made a chicken stock in mine yesterday - cracked and roasted chicken bones, 2 bay leaves, the juices from the roast chicken and 2 pints of water - left it on for about 6 hours and had a really thick jelly like stock which tastes amazing.

Just back from doing my weekly A$da shop - think I am fast becoming Mrs Bargain Hunter 2010 :j Yippeeee!! Got SO much stuff and all for £29.70...bearing in mind that a month ago my budget for a weekly shop was £40 I am chuffed with the reductions AND I think I get way more stuff now! And compared to my pre-MSE days of a £60-70 a week shop it's even better!

Sorry to all those who are knackered, hope you all get a good night's sleep and are revived tomorrow....it is hump day so that might help a wee bit.

I have to give a &^%&ing talk tomorrow afternoon/evening. Grrrr  Hmmm, I probably should think about what I'm going to say...

Pooky, I completely agree, a thunderstorm is needed to break this awful mugginess. Can't remember the last time we had a proper summer storm (in London)

Lasagne is being made for me as I type - yum! Can't wait to munch it :D Nom nom nom!

    Chat soon :)
