any ideas what I can use to replace a laylandi to use as a talll screen? At the mo, the laylandi take up about 9ft accross the bottom end of the garden, which I want to cut down & turn into a play area, but it is overlooked, so would love to grow something which which will grow to 10ft tall, but take up 1ft of landspace. Like bamboo, but will need a clump former, which means I will need loads of plants as its about 20ft long to cover. Any ideas on what other plants to look for? Also want it at 7ft+ by next summer! Its in a reasonably shady spot, with evening sun
