Shower Fan Light - noisy?

Options
I've had an electrician round to give a price on fitting some downlighters to my bathroom

I'm getting 4 "normal" downlighters, and one "shower fan light" -
He advised having this fitted to prevent excess humidity

I take it this is fitted to turn on with the lights?
I'm slightly worried about the noise - will it bother me? I don't want a loud fan running for 10 mins or so after i finish a shower!
If so, are there any that only come on when the fan comes on? where do i get them..?

I've seen some on eBay, but they don't have this feature.

Thanks :-)

  • Consider installing an in-line fan, these are much quieter, with a separate light.

The spark probably has quoted for an in-line fan with integral light...see here

In terms of over-run...you can alter the timer for the fan overrun right down, or ask him to have it set to only come on when your bathroom lights are on, and go off when you switch the lights off.
