As you have said, don't just turn up with 3 - when you print the boarding pass it states "1 checked bag" on the peoples who have paid for it.
Not sure if they will charge to move the bag to another name, do let us know though.0 -
Yes i will.....they are swines aren't they....my eldest dropped out a while back and the original flights were £75, my sis has taken his place and cost £100 to change the name, which took all of 10 seconds to do on-line!!!!.....so praying this will be free......Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D0

Go to Manage Bookings online and see what it lets you do. Anything you do online will be cheaper than calling them.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

Not swines just giving you what you signed up and paid for.
They charge £100 to change the name so that I (for instance) can't buy up all the 1p flights and then sell them on to other people at a profit.
You can't blame them if you change your mind.0 -
I can't do it on-line and I can't get through on the other number....crazy.....looks like i will have to travel lighter than expected and use my allowance on hand luggageNever put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D0

ok well i'll blame the greedy people then.....i can blame them for having rubbish customer services though.....a google to find other numbers just turns up loads of people complaining they can't get through.Bob_the_Saver wrote: »Not swines just giving you what you signed up and paid for.

Before you take drastic action, OP, take a very close look at what it says under the "Manage My Booking"/"View Booking" page online.
First, it sounds like the original booking for six people included one paid for 15kg hold bag for each of just three travellers' names - is that correct?
Then, under the Manage My Booking facility online, you changed the name of one traveller who had one of these bags and paid the £100 fee? Still correct so far?
If you take a close look at the booking today (again via "Manage My Booking"), surely you can see the three correct names with bags including your sister now instead of your son whom she replaced, and surely there is a paid-for bag already noted correctly now against each of three travellers including your sis i.e. the same three bags you originally paid for?
It should already state something like this:
6 Passengers- luvvlyjubbly
- 1st Checked Bag (15kg)
- Priority Boarding
- Web Check in
- luvvlyjubbly's sis
- 1st Checked Bag (15kg)
- Priority Boarding
- Web Check in
- luvvlyjubbly's 3rd named traveller
- 1st Checked Bag (15kg)
- Priority Boarding
- Web Check in
- luvvlyjubbly's 4th named traveller
- Priority Boarding
- Web Check in
- luvvlyjubbly's 5th named traveller
- Priority Boarding
- Web Check in
- luvvlyjubbly's 6th named traveller
- Priority Boarding
- Web Check in
Edit: Oh ... it looks like while I was typing this you have your answer ... so I can only assume that your "eldest" was not one of the travellers for whom you booked a bag originally, and is not your son who is not going for health reasons. And now there are actually only 5 of you going even though there are still six on your booking? Got me confused there
.
PS As I expect you will have been told by Ryanair, if you haven't checked in online yet, you still even now have the option of buying a bag online separately in each direction. I have checked my own booking and I could buy a second bag for each of my travellers at £40 each bag each way. I imagine the price for a first bag for your sis for example is £25 or £30 each way? Can anyone confirm?
PPS It really is a moneyspinner for Ryanair, this bag lark at summer holiday time
I see I originally paid £15 each way for a bag per person. 0 - luvvlyjubbly

This may be of help for contacting Ryanair at a cheaper rate.
Dialwise number for Ireland from U.K.
0844 200 1010
Wait for message confirmation
Then
003531 2480856 Then press hash key on phone
Got me straight through, only waited a couple of minutes then spoke to someone.
Not bad at .5p per minute.
This was from a landline.0 -
I have found the only way I can get through to Ryanair customer services in a sufficiently reliable way is by fax, +353 1 812 16760
