in Techie Stuff
I am looking at writing a manual and having it accessible to clients on the internet. Can anyone advise what would be the best software to do something like this in.

I have previously used MS Word and incorporated screen shots etc but would like to get a bit more fancy with 'sensitive areas' you can hover over that give you more information etc.

Anyone got any ideas or any tips pointers on formatting / layout.

    The whole world uses pdf as the reader is free and available on many platforms.

    Agreed - you cannot really go wrong with pdf

    Especially as although I think you need to pay for a licence to write them, anyone can view them for free

    Thanks for that. I've only ever created PDF files from MS applictions using PDF995 free from here. Not used the licenced editing version though. I'll give that a try.
    It's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission ;)
