Pls Help! Autotrader Car Scam

I will ask Trading Standards tomorrow. According to Autotrader I need Trading Standards to liaise with Autotrader on my behalf because of data protection. And I thought he was an honest trader! I've got a really strong feeling that I'm not the only one. It's mad that this could be happening to lots of different people - am thinking the local trading standards dept might be able to help. If they've had previous dealings they might be able to connect the pieces of the jigsaw.

The Data Protection Act allows for disclosure for the purposes of court proceedings - section 35.

In hindsight alarm bells should have started ringing when you didn't meet him at his address!
