Recieved parking fine but no ticket was put on car

I Recieved a parking fine but no ticket was put on my car.
I live in Redbridge and my road is residential permit holders only, I have 2 cars one has a permit and the other is my car which I just put a day permit in when I need it as I am at work from early to Late most days. The other day I came home early at 4.50pm i left my car for 5 mins whilst I went into the house to get a day permit, when I came out a traffic warden was photographing the front of my car, there was NO TICKET placed on the car so in my haste I decided to drive off to avoid him actually writing out a ticket and putting it on the car. A week later I recieved a £100 penalty notice saying that I was parked in a residents bay and that I drove off whilst ticket was being issued.
Does anyone know where I stand ( Have I got a snowball on Hells Chance)

Copy/photo the ticket, both sides, host on tinypic. Copy the url and paste it into this post and remove the http://. Remove personal details. Someone may be able to help then. Take pics of signs, lines and bays with one on the transverse lines at each end and in between.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Unfortunately you did the worst thing possible. If you are visiting a resident you are allowed time to obtain a visitor permit from the resident, which you could have claimed in this circumstance, By driving off, you can't really claim that now.
In future I suggest you carry some VP's in the glove compartment or buy a 2nd car Permit (only £80)
Some bays in Redbridge are non-compliant
Where exactly in Redbridge was this?0
