Has anyone come across a free way of converting a PDF to Word (doc) that works ?
Either "on-line" or via a download....
I have tried using Openoffice - that (sort of) works, but changes the format
I have tried "on-line" freepdfconvert.com - that tells me that the PDF is Password protected - it is NOT.
Any other suggestions ?

I have used the service before at z a m z a r . c o m (sorry can't post proper links yet) with fairly good success. However you cannot expect the word document to come out looking exactly the same as the PDF as there will be differences in the margins, page layout and font settings that will change it.
You can also open the file and export it to a word file from Adobe Acrobat, but only the paid for version and not the free Acrobat Reader.
Cheers
