how do you become a power seller?

can you become a power seller if you flog £750 worth of gear 3 times withing 3 months?

as in

3 items worth £250 each month or equivalent?

i thought you became a power seller once you reached a special number of sales.

lets say someone has a score of 100% at 49 sold auctions. if they make £750 a month can they become a power seller?

or am i smelling the faint whiff again?

I accidently became a power seller when I sold £2K of car parts one month.
I didn't bother looking at any of the features because I knew I'd cease to be a power seller back on my normal rate of sales.

It's a glorified sales thing - I received countless automated emails for my welcome and then countless automated emails when I failed to meet the requirements. I don't love Ebay.

I'm currently a powerseller on just over 2200 positives. However, now I have closed my ebay shop I am losing my turn over and number of sales so will probably be stripped of my PS status anytime now....

Karetail has kindly supplied the link, and as you will see it has nothing to do with the total number of feedback, justturnover and/or sales.

as far as i can tell they only push the powerseller notion to encourage people to continue making sales on ebay, i've been one for ages and i can't really find any point in being one.

It felt like a big corporation sales promotional gimmick. I received automated mails saying things like "Tom, we're really pleased that you've contributed to the Ebay community and made it such a great place for buyers. We're very worried that you're not selling enough items at the moment and we will have to review your status at the end of next month."
