For late payers with introductory interest rates on credit cards...

Options
If you have a card with a good introductory rate then be very careful when making a late payment.

This happened to me recently and I called and spoke to them nicely and they refunded the late charge BUT BUT BUT they may change your special rate to their standard interest rate.......WITHOUT TELLING YOU!!!!!! I found this out and a phone-call later was put back onto the low rate.

Even if you are late paying and accept the charge you should check that you're still getting the low rate.

All terms & conditions state that if you break the terms of the agreement that the rate will revert to the standard rate
  • Precisely......but if you forget/don't realise then all your efforts to pay less interest is to no avail. If you realise it you could be reverted back like I was.
