How do i find out which my computer is.

    What OS?

    uname -a for Linux

    Windows usually right click My Computer and Properties.

    Yes it's windows but no sign of bits there,only came up as ntfs. Don't know what you mean by os

    Not "C:", "My Computer" or "Computer".

    - left click windows start menu button
    - left click my computer
    - then right click anywhere on the white areas under where it shows your hard drive & cd etc
    - left click on the bottom line called properties, all your info is there !

    got that, thanks to you both. 32 bit. I was trying to download skype and it says incompatable with 32 bit. Didn't have a clue what that was. Hate not knowing what i'm trying to do. lol

    Just checked the Skype download page and the Windows version requires:
    'PC running Windows® 2000, XP, Vista or 7. (Windows 2000 users require DirectX 9.0 for video calls).
    No distinction for 32 or 64 bit versions of Windows that I can see.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
