I was recently 'forced' by BTYahoo saying I wouldn't have access if I didn't to upgrade to Internet Explorer 8.

Since I gave in apart from the pc crashing! I have the following issues:

a) I have been unable to access one of my sub accounts because I can't work out how - it was all set to go automatically

b) I have multiple (6) bars at the top of the screen and am convinced I don't need most of them but don't know which I can safely remove without causeing more problems

I'm sorry if they are trivial but I'd really appreciate some advice please.

From the top the bars are:
a normal one that tells what page I'm on
the File, Edit, View, etc......one
a Google one
a BT Yahoo one
a McAfree one
?? one that contains amongst other things - favourites, free hotmail?, windows media, start group, my bookmarks, home, tools etc.....

Thank you if you can help

Uninstall the toolbars you don't need/use under Control Panel -> Software. If you can't find them there look in IE under Tools -> AddOns or so (I don't use IE so I don't know exactly). If this fails too just prevent them from showing. Go to View -> Toolbars and untick the one you don't want.

Download, install, update and run a Quick Scan with Malwarebytes' AntiMalware. When complete, choose 'Remove Selected' if there is anything to remove and Reboot your computer.

After restart, open the program again and go to 'Logs'. Double click on the log produced for today and post the contents here.

Next, download, install and run the HijackThis Version 2.0.4 installer and use the Quick Start guide to enable you to produce a log for posting here too.
