get rid of google toolbar!

Decided to install itself, dont even want it and it makes any web searches I do pretty useless!

  • Isn't it listed in Add/Remove Programs? If not then you turn it off by right clicking on the toolbar & selecting it to remove the tick

    I hate toolbars the only one I uses coems with roboform, most of them contain spyware any how.

    It probably came with some software you've loaded lately, google are into everything nowadays.....

    Thats the normal trick - if you have recently downloaded Google Earth or Piscasa they normally leave it 'ticked' in the options boxes
  • Reading the End User License Agreement before installing whichever software accompanied the google toolbar will have prevented it's installation if the correct option had been chosen. Unfortunately, folk seldom read them. It's a bit like taking medicine without reading the instructions first.....

    usually get he choice to install stuff like this but it is usually under cutom install rather than typical or normal.

  • Yeah don't just click click click and then wonder why all this crap is on your machine. Mind you i actually like Google toolbar. stops pop ups, immediate Google search which surely everybody uses as there search engine anyway. Spell checker etc. Also direct link to gmail...

    Its quality in my view :)
