Month by month supplier?

I'm renting a house for 3 months, possibly 6 months and have spent the evening looking at gas and electricity suppliers to transfer to (the previous tenant having taken their contract with them).

However all the deals I've found have yearly discounts that make them good value. Are there any options out there which are good value for short-term use?

Thanks!

The reason for the discount is because they have your custom for x amount of time and you pay upfront by direct debt to save on administration so I doubt there be much in way of short terms discounts as they going to loose you in 6 months or less.

Thanks savemoney, I had guessed as much so let me rephrase the question: Are there any comparison sites that will do comparisons excluding the yearly discounts?

All of the suppliers will charge you an exit fee for cancelling a fixed or discounted offer before the end of the 'deal' term - upto £100.

The only way to offset this is by going via Quidco or Topcashback.

DO NOT click through the comparison site to sign up - they will get YOUR commission if you do.

Not so, any of the tariffs with exit fees can be taken by the OP, exit fees only apply to a switch of suppliers or change of tariff they DO NOT apply to moving home.

The OP needs to avoid companies that pay discounts annually (I think its only Npower and First Utility doing this at the moment, SP had one but that seems to have been withdrawn)

OP the main problem you will face is if it will even be worth it if you are only renting for three months, it can take two months to switch, although if you do go through a cashback site it should cover a fair ammount (if not all) of your bills in that time..
