New Cupcake Business

Hi

I am starting a new business selling cupcakes. All will be done online initially. I am really struggling to come up with a name - all ideas gratefully received :)

Thanks in advance

xx

    Hi ya,
What sort of cupcakes? Might sound silly, but are you going to personalise? Make specific or different flavours? Ice them? or simply give people options out of your "menu" so they can mix and match?

The name needs to do what it says on the tin, so a little more info might be good :)

I am rubbish at names for things, but, something like D-Cups with the D having a subscript in the logo for delicious! (cant take credit, if any is there! I asked a friend on msn, who btw is male lol!)
You could even do a 2 for one, and call it the double D cup!!! (ok, that was my idea, I will shut up now! And for the record I am female so Im not being a typical bloke!!!)

There are buisness name generators on the net if you google search, but many come up with things that just get you higher in the phone book so you end up with AceCakes.... sad but true!

Just as an aside, have you registered as self employed and had an EH check / have the basic food hygiene cert etc? Just so your back is covered :) Also Im guessing there is reasoning behind the selling online, its a massive market so you will need to advertise alot I guess, but just wondered why online, and having to post items, rather than locally at markets etc.

    Good luck

Whatever name you decide to use, make sure you check the domain name is free aswell before deciding, and once you have get the domain name bought. Even ones you wont use straight away, its worth protecting the name incase a rival sets up with the same name somewhere.
When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.

I think with the name you should try and keep it as obvious as possible. If you're online, think of what search terms people will be googling and try and think along those lines. I know most of the names will be taken, but still worth thinking about.
